referring to — Dozens gathered Saturday for a paradise-themed night to raise money for an organization that supports music therapy at children’s hospitals.
The event is put on by Southern New Hampshire Ukulele Group and brings in musicians and groups from around the region.
“That’s the ticket, because music therapy is a very powerful science,” he said.
“I hope that people learn a little bit more about the ukulele,” said Mathis, who started the Southern New Hampshire Ukulele Group.
The national organization was started in 2014 and gives the instrument to kids at children’s hospitals as part of a music therapy program.
