according to Ventura Police Department (Photo: STAR FILE PHOTO)A Ventura man was arrested after a K-9 officer saw him make an alleged drug deal, authorities said.
The officer followed the driver, conducted a traffic stop and deployed the police dog to sniff the vehicle, authorities said.
The driver, identified as Edward Lopez, 60, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of heroin and possession of narcotics paraphernalia, authorities said.
The officer saw the transaction between a driver of a vehicle and a pedestrian about 7:30 p.m. Friday near Main Street and Mills Road, Ventura police said.
The dog found a large amount of drugs and cash inside the vehicle, police said.
Four arrested in Callaway County drug bust
– Four people were arrested in Callaway County after detectives found drugs, including methamphetamine, inside a home.
Dodson posted a $5,500 bail and was released from the Callaway County Jail pending a court appearance.
CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo.
Callaway County authorities arrested Daniel Smith on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and a Missouri Department of Corrections parole warrant.
Callaway County said a search warrant was executed Friday night in the 400 block of Collier Street in Mokane.
