Hundreds of thousands of Oklahomans are starting to get some answers after the state’s job website was hacked earlier this month as part of a national data breach.
“They are going to be providing credit protection and monitoring for everyone impacted in this particular breach for 12 months,” said Oklahoma’s chief information security officer Mark Gower.
Those states are now coming together to demand protection for more than 4.8 million people nationwide whose personal information may be in jeopardy.
AJLA found out about its database being hacked last week, and just announced the launch of a help line for all those affected.

A 4.0-magnitude earthquake rattled Saturday afternoon in northwest Oklahoma, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The earthquake was reported at 3:38 p.m. Its epicenter was about two miles east of Pond Creek, about 20 miles north, northeast of Enid and about 84 miles north of Oklahoma City.
No immediate reports of damage or injury were reported.
The quake was more than three miles deep.

The Storm Prediction Center says these storms are just the start of what’s expected to be a very active week for severe weather.
Forecasters at the Storm Prediction Center are warning millions of people living Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas of a powerful storm system capable of producing tornadoes on Sunday.
The National Weather Service in Norman says the storms could produce heavy rainfall, large hail as well as tornadoes by the end of the weekend .
