The goal of the community summit is to gain community involvement regarding substance abuse, according to Hagan.
Hagan said she has been working with Bill Geary, a national expert on substance abuse prevention and community coalitions, in creating a community assessment, as well as recommendations for reducing and preventing substance abuse.
In addition, she said in Taney and Stone county community assessments, substance abuse is listed as a top priority.
