Million $ coast in Lake George closed again for pathogenic bacteria worries
State officials again shut down Million Dollar Beach on Tuesday because of high levels of E.coli bacteria, according to The Post-Star.
Last year, the beach was closed down at the end of August after tests showed high levels of fecal coliform.
The popular Lake George beach had just opened for summer swimming Sunday.
The state mandated the closure Monday following lakewater quality tests that showed levels of E. coli bacteria higher than state standards.
The beach will remain closed to swimming through Friday June 23.
