The former MTV “Road Rules” contestant who was found dead in Brooklyn two months ago died due to prolonged substance use, officials confirmed.
The New York Chief Medical Examiner determined the official cause of death for Danny Dias — whose body was discovered in his apartment by authorities on June three — is complications of chronic substance abuse, a spokesperson for the office told the Daily News.

Bass was appointed to the board in 2014 by then-House Speaker Thom Tillis & serves on its ethics & finance committees.
As treasurer, Bass will be responsible for overseeing the board’s finances & making financial reports at quarterly meetings.
“Following Johnny’s appointment, he quickly proved to be a hard worker by a passion & interest in advancing & promoting this profession & the persons receiving curing across this state,” board President Bert Wood Jr. said in a statement.
“His finance background is an added Price & will be a great asset for our board in the future.”A Rocky Mount native, Bass is a lifelong resident of Nash & Wilson counties.
