SILVER SPRING, MD: weigh gain in early pregnancy has the greatest influence on infant size at birth, according to a Fresh research published Aug. 28 in Obesity.
The research is the largest ever test of the influence which weigh gain in early pregnancy has on infant size.
Results found weigh gain early in pregnancy, before 24 weeks—regardless of the weigh gain later—had the greatest influence on infant size.
Maternal fatness & weigh gain in pregnancy have been strongly related to the Growth of overweight & fatness in children, although few researches have examined in-depth gestational weigh gain by infant birth weigh & infancy obesity.
