Sunrise dispensary Health was 1 of various dispensaries across the country this 7 days to share in a $200 mn award to help battle the nation’s Opium abuse epidemic.
The Health Resources & Services Organization reported the awards Thursday to 1,178 health centers & 13 rural health organizations to promote access to drug abuse & mental health services.
The money awarded going to help health centers extend & integrate mental health & drug abuse services, according to the release.
The services going to focus on treatment, protection & awareness of Opium abuse in the primary care setting by increasing personnel, leveraging health data & providing training.
Clinic officials too outline to enhance its electronic health care records system to integrate by its behavioral health providers’ records systems.

Those 16 provinces going to share up to $16 mn of the overall funding package.
Trinity of Chemung province received $1.1 mn from the grants, When the intemperance Center of Broome province received $1 million.
During the premier half of 2017, there were 39 drug-related overdose dyinges announced in Broome County.
Cuomo declares $25.2 mn in federal funds to battle Opium problem in Fresh York
The funding is portion of $25.2 mn in federal dollars that Gov.
Andrew Cuomo reported on Thursday would be distributed throughout the state.
Sixteen provinces deemed high necessity were designated to receive the bulk of the funding.
They involve Saratoga & Montgomery counties, that Fresh Choices is receiving money to serve out of initiatives such as cell Phone curing services & telemedicine.
The provinces were selected based on the number of Opium overdose deaths, hospitalizations involving opioids, & inhabitants leaving the province to access intemperance curing services.
