Millions flowing to agencies for mental health, drug abuse aid

The funds are portion of a $10.6 mn allocation to 62 health centers across N.Y. from the federal Gov. awarded out of the section of Health & Human Services.
Local sites going to receive $175,000 apiece: Jericho Road society Health Center, The Chautauqua Center, society Health Center of Buffalo, Neighborhood Health Center, Oak Orchard society Health Center & the Southern Tier society Health Center in Olean.
Additionally, 496 health centers in rural societies going to receive extra awards out of the Access Increases in Mental Health & drug abuse Services (AIMS) program.
Also, nearly $3.3 mn going to backing 13 rural health organizations under the Rural Health Opium programme (RHOP) & the drug abuse curing Telehealth Network Grant programme (SAT -TNGP).

VFCHP going to provide services which are family-driven by care coordination which incorporates evidence-based mental health services, & going to backing coordination & service delivery improvements among Vermont’s society Mental Health Centers & the Federally Qualified Health Center in 2 zones of the state.
In a joint statement, Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) & Rep. Peter Welch (D-Vt.) said: “It is critical which we do a better job at addressing mental health needs in this country.
One of a better ways to do which is out of protection & early intervention which is integrated by physical health care.
We all need Vermont Kids to have a healthful family & powerful future.
