On Tuesday, the Bannock province Sheriff’s Office announced, after years of Battling the growing drug trafficking crisis in the region, help is on the way.
“We have seen a rapid, nearly wildfire-type influence of opiates, heroin, & prescription drug abuse,” Bannock province Sheriff Lorin Nielsen said.
The amount of grant money hasn’t been decided upon yet.
Nielsen said this grant money going to be shared between eastern Idaho’s city, county, & state law enforcement agencies.
Nielsen said this going to too help the high-intensity drug trafficking issue in southeastern Idaho with putting a figurative “lock” on which revolving door of addiction.
Two found guilty after historic Wayne province drug bust
Two people have been catched after 1 of the biggest drug busts in Wayne province history.
Sheriff Rick Thompson tells the county’s Drug Enforcement Unit catched the 2 in the James River Road ambit after a joint investigation by Kenova Police.
“The is 1 of the WCSD Drug Enforcement Unit’s biggest busts to date,” Thompson said.
The WCSD Drug Enforcement Unit & Kenova Police section were assisted by WCSD Road Officers, Task Force West & Ceredo Police Department.

Albany province task force seeks local, timely information on drug overdoses
