Moreover, these mental health conditions include:

1) Severe depression

People with this mental health condition experience despair and hopelessness.

Furthermore, they are most likely to have suicidal thoughts and at risk of committing suicide.

2) Bipolar disorder

It is when a person swings from positive feelings to other negative feelings in just seconds.

Moreover, studies say that 1 out of 3 of people with this kind of disorder attempt suicide at least one.

3) Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that makes the patient see hallucinations.

Moreover, it is estimated that 1 out of 20 people will commit suicide.

Warning signs

There are many warning signs that a person might attempt suicide.

World Health Organization Suicide Rates

World Health Organization reports show that the global age-standardized suicide rate for 2016 was 10.5 per 100,000.

Besides, they reported that every 40 seconds, there is one suicide incident and the Middle East is in the lead.

Furthermore, many methods of suicide include hanging, self-poisoning, and firearms.

WHO is now collaborating with several international organizations such as the World Federation for Mental Health to discuss this issue.

Therefore, they launched a campaign named “the 40 seconds action campaign” to have the issue covered.

Additionally, this year, they focus on suicide prevention as a global dangerous issue.
